I wanted to get a sense of scale and believability to the setting, I wanted it to feel this may have been a real place before the end of the world, which is why I wanted to hint at the possibility of fallout shelters or access routes to one main shelter throughout the level.
Lighting in a post apocalyptic setting is often quite a challenge as
it assumed the chances of having electricity are pretty unlikely, that's
why in the dark spots I've used the odd burning barrel, but majority I
tried to open up interior with the old broken roof to let the natural
light seep in. |
